The topic of electromobility has been under discussion for several years, but electric cars have been comparatively slow to catch on in Germany. Different plug standards, different charging capacities at the charging points and the limited availability of charging stations have all played their part. However, more and more manufacturers have expanded their product portfolio and are increasingly producing electric cars - from small cars to SUVs. Last but not least, the manufacturer Tesla has also reignited the topic of electromobility with the Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg (Gigafactory 4).
There are now many charging stations for all common plug systems at car parks at and around BER Airport. Car park at Berlin Airport
We at McParking have used the time of the airport expansion and renovation to build our own huge multi-storey car park for you - our customers. - When you arrive, press the call button at the entrance
- An employee will come immediately, allocate you a charging space and then collect your car keys
- Our employees will fully charge your vehicle 1 time shortly before your return
- On your return, you collect the vehicle key and drive home relaxed with a fully charged battery.
This provides you with an excellent alternative to the older P3 multi-storey car park.
If you park directly in car park P3 at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, there are only 5 charging points with 2 charging options each and no possibility to reserve a charging space in advance. The charging stations all operate with an output of 22 kW at 400 volts and 32 amps of current. Depending on the charge level and capacity of your battery, the charging process can therefore take a while. In the meantime, you can take a look at the shopping opportunities at Berlin Airport, have a snack in the snack bar or take a rest before your return journey.
